To find out about Action for happiness go to www.actionforhappiness.org

Poems should be posted to www.mpghappiness.co.uk Danny Hammell a co-editor will be sorting them out. All profits on the sale of the book will go to Action for happiness. Their movement is growing all the time and is international. Any questions can be sent to terrygodwin@talktalk.net. We hope to complete this project in 3-4 months.

We will read some of the poems out when we read in the radio room of The Sunlight Centre at Gillingham with the poets' permission. We look forward to hearing from poets with their happy poems.

Domestic Violence and Abuse to get the Excel for Charity treatment

We are pleased to announce that Excel for Charity will run Poetry and Short Story Competitions in aid of TRYangle Project. These competitions will be announced on Monday the 18th of July, 2011 to run until October 10, 2011.

About The TRYangle Project

The TRYangle Project is a Greenwich-based charity, with an aim to increase the safety of families who experience domestic violence and abuse by providing programmes of group work and individual counselling for men and women in London and South-East England, and young people aged 13-18 years who are impacted by domestic violence.

Let's help this project.

Domestic abuse costs the tax payer £23,000,000,000 per year and two women die each week as a result of domestic violence.

TRYangle does not charge individuals for their services this ensures that all members of the community can access the services on offer. TRYangle relies heavily on funding from charitable trusts and foundations. In the past funding had been received from the local authority, police and probation in Greenwich, Lewisham and Bexley but the economic downturn has hit the third sector especially hard this year and TRYangle became a casualty of the funding cuts - which nearly forced their closure.

It is important, now more than ever, that people who believe in this cause help to support TRYangle.

Your poem or story can help to educate individuals, end violence and abuse in the home, keep families safe, reduce the cost to society and possibly even save a life.
Support the TRYangle project today!
