Poetry Competition raises £180.65 for Lupus UK

The international poetry competition run by Excel for Charity for Lupus UK came to a close at midnight on 30th June, 2011. The final figures on our fund-o-meter records a total of 166 poems entered with net entry fees of £541.94. This means that the cheque we shall be sending to Lupus UK next week will be for a nice sum of £180.65p. This means that every poem entered into this competition raised just over £1.08, and we can't say thank you enough to all the poets from different nations - United Kingdom, Greece, Hong Kong, United States, Gambia, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, among others.

We are grateful to Jim Bennett for accepting to help judge this competition for us. We trust that he will do a great job. His report will be published on this website. If you would like to receive an e-mail notification when the results and judge's report are published, visit our list page and join us.
